Materials suggested for one basic pair of earrings (additional materials listed later in this tutorial):
One pair crystals or gems in OPEN BACK sew on settings aka Montees – size and shape is your choice. Crystals in Settings
20ga round wire, half hard.
One pair earring backs, aka ear nuts or butterfly backs.
Tools needed:
Flat nose and/or chain nose pliers, round nose pliers.
Flush cutters.
Wire rounder aka cup bur on a stick, or file to smooth wire ends.
Ruler with millimeters.
Optional:
Bail pliers, Pin Vise
20 or 21ga square ½ hard wire, standard ear wires
